The Month of May

Wow, what happened to the month of May?  We've been very busy here at KCCD, working on our Annual Plan of Work , budgets, grant applications and preparing to close out current grants.
Our Small Project Cost Share Program is wrapping up for the year.  We funded a total of 8 projects, most of which were conversions to sprinkler systems that involve the installation of buried mainlines.  We also cost shared on a gated pipe system to replace a concrete head ditch. The maximum cost share a landowner may receive is 50% reimbursement up to $3,000.  Our next sign-up will be in September of this year.

Suzanne has been out at the Wild Horse Wind Project site monitoring some of the spring sites.  It's very green this time of year with lots of grass and blooming flowers.

A couple of coyote pups were hanging out in the culvert.  Suzanne took this photo of one of the little guys.
